2010 Ronstan Vic State Titles Results

Congratulations to Paul and Bronwyn Ridgway who are the 2010 Ronstan Tasar Victorian State Champions. In a fleet of 32 boats they sailed a brilliant regatta in very testing conditions.
After 2 days of racing Paul R & Craig McP were equal on points and places. Nothing separated them. The final result was dependent on the results of the last day's racing. However the wind was light and dying so we did not know if we would get one, two or three races in. As it happened we got in two races before the wind died and the tide took over. In the last race for Paul to wind he had to beat Craig by at least 3 places. Paul was in the lead and Craig in 4th or 5th place and bearing down on him on the run when the wind started to die and the race was shortened. Paul just managed to scrap across the line and the rest of the fleet was carried by the tide past the finishing boat into the channel, giving Paul an unassailable lead.
