Minutes from the last AGM held on 28/12/2007 at Adelaide Sailing Club were confirmed.

1. Reports
• President –

                                                               i.      The next Nationals could possibly held at Hamilton Island or another venue given the recent email communication from Queensland Association that indicated their inability to run the nationals because their president had recently resigned and moved to SA.

                                                             ii.      The 8.8’s are available from Lindsay Irwin at a cost of $1300.

                                                            iii.      The cost per container space for Japan was estimated by Shane Guanaria to be around $1700 per boat.

                                                           iv.      Tasar Class has seen a marked improvement in the membership numbers over the past year and many new boats being launched.

                                                             v.      The President recorded his thanks to the secretary/treasurer for his work over the past three years. 

• Secretary/Treasurer – finance statements were accepted. Moved Mike Paynter, seconded Jim Rae .
• Measurer – There have been some anomalies in the kit A boats and the solution will be to place fit out diagrams on the ATC web site. Martyn Sly to provide fit out diagrams. The Measurer is available at any time to discuss measurement issues.

• Martyn Sly reported on behalf of Frank Bethwaite
• Frank passed on his best wishes to all for a good regatta.
• He recommended that all Tasar sailors read Chapter 24 of his new book “High Performance Sailing”
• The Carbon rig for the Tasar is being considered as the cost of Aluminium is rising in comparison with Carbon.
• The Carbon rig will offer greater sail ability of the Tasar.

• Election of Office Bearers
• Jon Ross stood down as President and Paul Ridgway stood down as secretary/treasurer. Michael Paynter was duly elected President and Adrian Nicholson was elected secretary/treasurer.
