Detailed below is a graphic which shows the approximate location of the race course area for the McCrae Nationals. Racing will generally be held 2-3 kms offshore, particularly if the usual southerly sea breeze conditions prevail. (Racing will tend to be closer to shore when the wind is from the north.) This means competitors should allow for about 30 minutes sailing time to get to and from the race course area on the days racing is scheduled. Please note that race starts will not be postponed for stragglers who are late getting off the beach - forewarned is forearmed!

These are the suggested course locations. It is at the discretion of the PRO  to select the most suitable location for racing to be held on any given day taking into account wind and weather conditions.
