The Australian Tasar Council

The Australian Tasar Council is responsible for the conduct of Tasar sailing nationally. In conjunction with State Associations in every mainland state and territory, the ATC is extremely active in promoting the sport of sailing and the Tasar dinghy in particular. The State Associations run events throughout the year at clubs all around the state, including country venues. We have a strong emphasis on introducing the Tasar to new sailors and have a well-organised training and support structure.

Informal coaching sessions happen at most association events.

Tasar sailors love to share information and ideas. Training sessions are held at each of our Travellers Trophy events - these are held at various Tasar clubs over the sailing season. State Associations also run regular training sessions for beginners and those with experience wanting to improve their Tasar sailing skills.

An international community

The ATC links with Tasar Councils world-wide for World Titles every 2 years. Those who have been in the class and competed in overseas regattas have formed close friendships with people in the United Kingdom and Europe, North America and Japan, as well as all around Australia.
