Tasar: A Bethwaite Legacy

The book, ‘Tasar – A Bethwaite Legacy” by Elizabeth Kemmis was launched at the recent World Championships in the UK. A review of the book in the January 2012 edition of Australian Sailing + Yachting said “Even for someone who has never sailed a Tasar, this is an interesting book that recounts the story of Frank Bethwaite and his path to designing one of the great two-handed dinghies of the modern era. The writing style is compelling and the research is excellent. It contains extracts from various class newsletters from around the world, and maps out the evolution of a one-design class in a way that holds lessons for the other classes and would-be designers. I quickly found myself absorbed.”

The cost of the production of the book was paid for by WTC from funds collected from sail royalties  I now have supplies of the book and would like to distribute them to the Districts/Regions for sale. Please let me know the number your Districts/Regions would like and an address that they can be sent to. The books are in boxes of 40.
The recommended price for each book is $A20. The funds collected from the sale of the books are to be kept by the Districts/Regions who sells them.

Copies can also be obtained by contacting the WTCA. Cost of P & P for anywhere in Australia for a single copy is $3.50.
